Join us for Boggs Legacy Series – Community Safety from Past to Future beginning on November 16, 2025, with the exhibit open until May 29, 2026, at The Boggs Center, 3061 Field Street, Detroit, Michigan 48215, United States. This powerful exhibit highlights Detroit’s leadership in the movement against state-supported violence over the past 50 years. James and Grace Lee Boggs recognized the community’s capacity to create safety through public and creative action. Visit to learn about the organizing, mentoring, writings, and community-driven initiatives that nurtured local leadership and worked toward making Detroit a safer, healthier, and more life-affirming place. Exhibit programming will take place from November through May 2026.
