Dr. Lester Spence, Professor of Political Science and Africana Studies at Johns Hopkins University, will explore how institutions shape social, political, and economic life in Detroit and other urban centers, and how radical imagination can challenge conventional structures of power toward radical democratic renewal. This thought-provoking lecture invites students, scholars, and community members to rethink the possibilities of institutional influence and civic engagement.
