This virtual webinar, streamed live from Detroit, will provide an on-the-ground perspective on what to expect when seeking abortion care in Michigan, available options, associated costs, and how we can support one another—because legality means nothing without accessibility.

Since the 2022 passage of Proposal 3, Michigan has enshrined the right to reproductive freedom—including abortion—into its state constitution. Recent court rulings have further expanded access by striking down longstanding restrictions like the 24-hour waiting period and physician-only provider rules. Yet significant barriers remain: parental consent laws, limited Medicaid coverage, and clinic closures due to federal funding cuts continue to impact care.
