June Exhibition at The Congregation: READ MY LIPS: Silence is STILL Death

  • The Congregation 9321 Rosa Parks Boulevard Detroit, Michigan, 48206 United States (map)

Join us for the opening reception of June Exhibition at The Congregation: READ MY LIPS: Silence is STILL Death on June 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Congregation, 9321 Rosa Parks Blvd, Detroit, MI 48206, United States. Featuring a solo exhibition by Kelz Cousins, curated by Dr. Chanel Beebe, READ MY LIPS: Silence is STILL Death presents bold, unapologetic work rooted in the legacy of ACT UP, Gran Fury, and the enduring power of art as resistance. On view June 2–June 28, the exhibition explores themes of visibility, care, advocacy, and queer liberation during Pride Month, drawing inspiration from the belief that silence is never neutral. Join us to meet the artist, experience the work in community, and celebrate an exhibition that continues a living archive of resistance and creative expression. Admission is free and open to the public, with selected works available for purchase throughout the exhibition.
