Join us for LOVE@Nite: A Place Called Heaven on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at The LOVE Building, 4731 Grand River Ave, Detroit, MI 48208, United States. Created in partnership with Detroit Narrative Agency, Heaven in Detroit, LGBT Detroit, and IceCreamDetroit, this special edition of LOVE@Nite centers Black queer memory, nightlife, storytelling, music, and the spaces that have held Detroit’s community for more than 30 years. The evening features sounds by legendary community DJ Tone, cast conversations with voices featured in the film and its storytellers, reflections with LGBT Detroit on three decades of planning Detroit’s Black Pride, live vocalist and musician performances, IceCreamDetroit, and the signature LOVE@Nite energy that brings community together through culture and creativity. A Place Called Heaven explores memory, survival, chosen family, dance floors, and the sacredness of gathering—honoring the enduring legacy and ongoing impact of Detroit’s Black queer community.
