Join us for The Exodus Tour: Workshops on Digital Marronage beginning June 25, 2026, at The Chroma Building, 2937 E Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202, United States, and continuing through June 27, 2026. This three-day series of hands-on workshops explores how communities can build relationships, share knowledge, and create connections outside of the digital platforms that surveil, extract, and control online interaction.
Through a combination of technical skill-building, creative practice, and collective imagination, participants will learn about topics such as privacy tools, SSH servers, mesh networking, local infrastructure, and community-controlled digital spaces. Designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners, the workshops invite attendees to reimagine what communication and connectivity can look like when rooted in autonomy, collaboration, and care.
